Alexis High School Graduation!!!

Around this time, my cousin Alexis would be graduating and standing up there I would imagine would she fall or be nervous like me with I graduated, but I would told myself that nothing stupid is going to happen to her. I would like to buy her something to congrats her, but not know what she like. I not what her to dislike what I will buy her. She is pretty picky about things I got her, so I should just ask her about what she like. I would be driving her to the graduation location at Kemper arena. That was my graduation location last year, the worst thing is that it's smell bad like horses. I didn't like it much last year. I wish I got it over with. I would shout and yell as loud as I can to cheer for her and support her. I really loved her and care for her. She is hardcore about everything like she can handle anything, but inside of her I know she is very fragile. I saw her real tears and I saw her sadness that make me want to cry with her. Sher life should be perfect, but it not. So I would hope that her life is as perfect as mine, so I can help her and be there for her. This graduation day would be so important that why I decided not to work just for her. Alexis everyone in the family are here to support you and we love you and hope you have a bright future.
I hope you would find a perfect man and he would bring the happiness to you 10x as much as anyone can.

My Family & Friendd!!!

I'm right now at KC my one of my favorite town because of my family and friend of mine below here. So people might not like to be around family or friend, but for me I wish to be with them close so I'm able to see them, or to know that there safe, and healthy. I love my family and friend close by so whenever I have problem they are there for me and I'm there for them. Family is important to me and I believe family is important to any Asian family as well. My responsibility is to take care my parents when they are old, now they take care of my brother and me. So in an Asian family it my duty to take care of them when they need us. My dad told me, before without grandma gave him birth, then there no my brother and I or we will have different father, but the point is to know that we have to respect our elderly and listen to them for what they have to say. They might not be in this world any longer, so I wish to spent every minutes with my parents.
My parents are my motivation to succeed and they support my physically and emotionally. I will succeed not just for me, but for my future, and for my family. As well my friend are important to me. I loved to be around them. They bring me joys and happiness that last the longest. Especially my best friend Jenny, she just like to tell me about her funny and weird family, but I can tell that she loved them very much as much as I love mine.
Family and Friend are my weakness in life, I can't do with them, neither live without them. Please think about the people that are important to you and treasure the moment you have with them. I also will remember every moment I have with my friend Jenny or my entire family.

Smoking in public???

         When you smoke in public, you are putting everyone around you at risk. Smoking in public are the selfish thing that smoker can do. Even though they don’t care about their health, but why can’t they think about ours. Another reason why we should ban smoking in public because of littering of cigarettes butts on the floor of every corner. According to No-smoke.org every day millions of cigarette butts are left on the ground. Maximum of the cigarette butts finally end up in lakes and rivers.    According to msn.com “Some 126 million nonsmokers are exposed to secondhand smoke” also called “involuntary smoking” that puts people at increased risk of death from lung cancer, heart disease and other illnesses. Over one in five children are exposed to secondhand smoke. Those children are at increased risk of SIDS, sudden infant death syndrome; lung infections, ear infections; and more severe asthma. Secondhand smoking still remains alarming public health hazard. One aspect of this freedom is the right to inhale fresh air and not to be exposed to harmful health hazards.”

Grandma is leaving.

My grandma is leaving America going to China. We lived in Fujian, China.
Fujian is one of the big province in China. My families lived very close to the Fuzhou city which it only 1 hour drives from it. My dream is to traveled to each cities that are located in China. China had the longest history and coolest tour site to see. Grandma is leaving Wednesday morning around 6:00 am that very early. Going to KCI airport head to Chicago airline, and fly 13 hours to Shanghai, China, then arrive at Fuzhou airport.
This trips take about a whole days of work.
I will miss her, my mom said there might be a chance that grandma won't come back to America. Grandma like China better a place where she have friend to talk to, live the way she want, and go wherever she pleased.
I can't wait to go back and visit the place again.

I'm so tired!!!

Final is coming, I'm having bad headaches, hands shaking, and my feet can't stop stomping. Why me??? I ask myself all this time. Why am I that stupid to take 5 classes now I'm so stress out. I just want to burst in to tears and cry about it, but that won't help. My goal is to do good. I need to do good. Please let me do good.
I'm praying to do good. Well I guess now I need to good for the final and improved my overall grades.

Graduation Day for My little brother !!!

OMG!!!
Can't believe that my brother my only little brother is finally graduating from High school, it might not be a big deal for other people, but in my family he is the first male to graduate from high school and I was first to graduate from high school. My father and mother family were poor back then, so they can't afford going to school. Everyday my parents remind us to do good in school, they not focus us to good great, but just do good and know that we try our best. I'm very proud of my brother and I can't wait to see him walking up there in the stage and get his diploma. After that I think we are going to have to party for him, I guess maybe just only few family members and friend. Graduate from high school is very special, that prove that all that 4 years of pain had paid off. My brother is graduating this May 22, 2011 at 3:00pm. Yep!!!
I hope everyone out there can graduate from school of any level and go for their dream.

Celebration with Princess Diana

I planning to go to the Union Station at downtown Kansas City, MO close to the Crown Center. From Now to June 12, 2011 there would be a display of Princess Diana past. In this tour we can learn a lots about her and to be this close to her. It's does cost to go in, but it would be worth it. It around $25 for adult of all ages and kids is about $15. There more information on this website Princess Diana Union Station. She was only 20 years old when marrying to Prince of Wales HRH and 1 billion people was watching her wedding worldwide. From my previous blog I blog about Prince Williams and Kate wedding. It's my royal interest to learn more about this royal family. Different event would be held throughout the day, but I most interesting thing I can't wait to see is her wedding dress. I just so amazing being so close to her. Princess Diana exhibit is one thing people have to go see, before it go away.

Economy???

 I taking economic class and I not think I'm doing very well. I can't fail I never fail. So I work hard to do well in the class. I can't wait to see my overall outcome. But at least I learn something about our economy, I learn that we need to spend as a consumer that Way Company would have enough money to hires employee besides laying them off. Saving is important but if we as American save most of our money without spending some of them that would develop a conflict and would not help the economy as a whole. Go now go out and go buy something you always wanted and know that you deserve it. Reward yourself for all of the hard work you do. Save our economy save does people are unemployed. Go spend that Money.

 My tour experience of federal reserve bank of kc was amazing. My tourist Chris and Kyle are so funny they make this tours so much interesting. They are really good at explaining to the group what is what and important and unique facts that interest me. In Kansas City our federal reserve bank is the 10th of all 12th in United States of America. It's now in the newest building, was built in 2007 move from the old one. The old federal reserve bank of KC was once a library for the Truman before he built the Library of Truman. On Jan. 23, 1914 thousands of people in KC welcomed the committee to be here and persuade them that why it important to have a federal reserve bank in kc. The committee was surprises by how the states around KC support each others and work together so well. This new building is more secure, modern, and unique. I got to see the vault, it was awesome. The machine robot is the only things allow in the vault and each units weight about 9 tons. They display 400 million dollars in the hallway, I wish I can have that money.

Food (Asian Cuisine) My FAVES

Especially Asian cuisine I love to eat Asian food there just so good. If I have to rate I would list my top 3 favorite country food. 

1. Cantonese style Chinese food

Dim Sum

I love how when Cantonese wake up early morning and go eat dim sum there so good. A dim sum is type of food serve in the cart (I describe it early in my blog). You look in the cart and see what you like. Turnip cakes, chicken feet’s, and sticky rice in locust leaf these are my top 3 favorite’s dishes. Drinking warm and healthy black tea would help digestive the food. Not think these food are weird there good go try it. I know a location around here new open it called ABC CAFÉ

at 87th st. serve till late at night. People if you like it you should go and try it. Another location I know is the Pine and Bamboo Garden Pine&Bamboo Garden Website at Shawnee mission parkway, but a little expensive.

2. My dad authentic Chinese food.

My dad cooking is amazing if I know how to be a good cook like him someday I might be famous, but too bad I can't really cook. I love when he makes rice noodle soup with Chinese bok Choy, green onion, and steak strips. It just so good. I think should them for #1 but sometime when he cook fish then I not like. He located at my house ha-ha.

3. Korean food

I love spicy food. My favorite dish of all Korean food is stir-fry rice cake. It so chewy and soft noodle but called a cake. It can be sweet but very little. I like the Kiamichi a spicy Korean sauce soak in the Chinese cabbage it good and spicy. My first time I ever ate Korean was at Choga  Choga Review

Shobahn

 At 105st it Okays, but I didn't like what I order. Second was at Chosan BBQ Chosun Website on 123rd st. It’s really good. It best one I remember I was at shobahn Sohahn WebsiteOn 67st. Last Korean dish I had the rice cake at the Korean house located inside the 888 international market pretty good. These are good if we can make it ourselves. I bet it cheaper too. 

These are my favorite kinds of food to eat and some of the places I like to eat. I hope you would go and try it.
 

Stressful this week

I'm so tired of Economic class, I just not get the subject and I not know anything about it.
I have to write a paper about unemployment and how I can improve it, but I not know how.
What am I going to do? I'm so tired of this. I know it just 2 pages, but I not know what to write.
Any suggestion?

This royal wedding was amazing I never thought it was a big deal worldwide. News worldwide reported "the wedding of the century" on that day all I saw on TV was them, how they met, what gossip or rumor about Kate and Prince William. When I watch the show I was so amazed by how many people stand in lines or waited for 5 days straight just to see the bride and groom. I believe it  would become a holiday in England to memorized them. On other channel I saw Princess Diana past, I learned about her more than I knew before. These show of that day compare the wedding of princess Diana and prince William her son. I wonder what would it be like if princess Diana would be there for their wedding? I believe prince William would be much happier if she were there that day. When future princess Kate were walking toward prince William the best man prince Henry whisper to William and say if she here she would be so proud. This wedding was so perfect. Kate dress was pretty, but not unique enough to be princess dress. I wish them a happy marriage and hope to last forever.

What should I take?

Summer is coming and Spring courses are over at May 20.
I need to think about what should I take during the summer. I planning to take at least 2 or 3 courses that would be 6 or 9 credit hours.
What do you think I should take?

Have you ever thought what career suit you?

All of my life I never know what I like to do or be when I grow up. I just like to do everything. I like to be everyone. In high school, I took Kansas Career Pipeline test, but the result surprised me. I didn't know if it's true or not, but my top two field was finance (business) I never like business, so I took it again. But I guess, it what it is. Finance was still on my top one.
I think people should take those traits test to determine if you are sure you are good with your career or even just to check what career you want to go in to.
Go try and take those test.

Monday: I had a Economic test "Hope I did good!
Tuesday: I have to write 14 pages of Career profile on Nursing in Intro. to Health care. I just not that fun, especially 14 pages.
English: talking about "A Rose for Emily" very interesting story... (you should read it). Group 1 of public speaking is presentation a persuasive speech. Each classmate have to present some that they can persuasive someone to do something good for someone.
Wednesday: I got the test back, it was okay, but I knew I could do better. In Math it 8.3 notes, I not like this chapter of Trigonmetry.
Thursday: My healthcare professor told me that I did great on my profile, (I'm so Happy) I work so hard on it. English I have to Turn in online copy of profile paper hope I did good in that too. My public speaking was today. My subject was about Donating Blood, and my professor told me I did good on eyes contact, but need to be more confident in myself.
Friday to Saturday
I have to work and study for my classes.

Encore Espresso

Have you heard about JCCC Encore Espress bar? It's located on the first floor of Carlsen Center.

They served great amount of coffee, dessert, and drink of all kinds. My dessert that they serve there was the Palmier Heart which I explain before in my blog. One day I try their bags of homemade of chips, I thought it was cheap and look full of bag so why not try it. OMG!!! it the best chips I ever had. It's just too good, I now have to have at least 1 or 2 bags a week. It's gave me energy, I ran out by the mid end of the day.

I can't wait to try others thing they served, maybe I will fall in love with another item. People should go try it now!!!

Have you ever been to the Japan Festival at JCCC?

The great festival was located at the JCCC the Carlsen Center. Adult $10, student and children $5, and under 5 are free. This festival is just as amazing as I thought it would be.

I been going there 2 time in 2008 and 2009. I was taking Japanese class and volunteer to help and realized I miss out all the fun before. Since then I been try to go there every year. Each time I volunteer and therefore receive a free t-shirt and ticket in. In the Japan Festival there is Martial Arts performance, Anime & Manga lover, and shopping Japan item that were shipped from Japan every year. Contest will apply to everyone different awards.

Yummy!!! Blueberry Bagel

 Because it what I love to eat and what I really crave for every time. Especially the Hen House Bakery blueberry bagel the soft and fresh can make you crazy for it. The softness of the bagel and crispness of outer, just too good to forget. I usually get this blueberry bagel when I'm specially happy or just hungry. It can be both, but I hope people should try it especially buy it around the early morning which is so much fresh. Not be afraid to try something new. First I look at it, and it all blue which scary me, but I was good. Just like people say not judge the book by it cover, if you not know it you should try it. Try it, Like it, and Love it.

I want to be Japanese Cherry Blossom Tree.

I like Japanese cherry Blossom, they beauty of the tree just amazed me.
These trees attract attention from people around. Japan cherry blossoms symbolize clouds due to their nature of blooming. In Japan people can drank sake and had lunch under the tree. Laying under trees can smooth your emotion throughout the  day. Tokugawa Yoshimune the famous shogun ruling and he planted the trees.


Most public school and building have cherry trees outside them. "Sakura" in Japanese word are mean cherry, so many people call  sakura the cherry trees.

Reaction Toward the Art Tour

I kind of like the tour because I got to see these wonderful paint that are avalible to anybody. There are fews things that bother me while on this tour. One major problem was that our tourist, he want us to answer question about the art such as what is the color, what is the element, shape, and other art related question. I really not like that he want to answer when we not even the background story about these art. The second major problem is that he spend too much time on asking the question on one art work that we don't have time looking at other art piece. I didn't really like the art that he saw us, but more interested in other art he can't explain about. I hope that he next time would be more specific about the art and the background of the art that make it interesting. I believe he had spent 10-15 minute in one art, therefore we only got to talk about 4 art overall, and I not like any of them. Overall I do enjoy look at unique art work, but not the tour.

My miserable week!!!

This week, I been afraid of facing it, but it came so quickly. I think this week would be my miserable week because of the time I spent on my study all weekend just for 3 scary tests I have to take. Today, I have to take 2 tests one in Health Care, which I more scare today for this test because I don't really know what to study for, the professor just gave us a sheet say what is on it and what is not. Next my second test of the day is public speaking midterm, which I think I can do pretty good at it, because this professor review with us and explain how easy was the test going to be, I really like that she helped us out. The worst part of this week is not Tuesday, but its Wednesday. Why Wednesday? Because the most important and hard test is on this day, I'm too afraid to go to class that day, no matter how hard I work on this subject I just not get it. The answer is either wrong or right. This class is Trigonometry. I always why would I want to take that class, but I not know I wasn't thinking when I pick the class, I just want to get it over with, so I didn't care what classes I'm taking. But now I learned my lesson if I'm going to take harder classes I should just takes less classes such as not 15 credit classes per semester it just too much stress to handle. I think max. 4 classes which is 12 credits and also take a 1 credit hour class would be good as well. I will try my best, I believe I can score the result that I wanted if I just try harder and study harder as well.

Tests

I hate taking on Scranton paper, because it more work just to put on the paper. I just teacher are just as lazy to grade the paper individually than use the stupid machine to grade it for them. Scranton is just fast, but I not think it's as right as the teacher.

The day I turn 19.

This Thursday March 24, 2011 was my brother and my birthday on this day we kind of didn't plan anything special because it was not as important in our family, mom say birthday is just another day getting older. As I know my brother and I are unique in our own ways. So I think I should celebrate with him since it his birthday also anyway. On this day we also tell ourselves to buy a lottery to bring luck, but I were so busy we forgot about anything like that. That morning we went to breakfast together we met at Ihop one of our favorite breakfast place. I was so hungary I ate about 3 stack of pancake, eggs, bacon, and big omelet that we decide to share since he not so hungary. I thought since it our birthday we should go shopping I can only shop around an hour because morning class start at 11:00 am. After that we went our separate ways, he went to work, and as for me school of course.  I still have to go to all my classes, so I also reward myself to our school best Plamier Heart dessert which I can eat 2 to 3 a day, but lately I try to cut sweet.

This would be my birthday my parent this year didn't buy and cut for us. Sad, but it's alright I'm have this is just enough. After school, all I have is work work and work. The only best part of my day is people called, texted, and fackbook me said happy bday. I loved people remember my special day. I can't yet when I turn 21, but in that road I still want to enjoy the 19th and 20th birthday. Each year, different things can happen and it can be good or bad. We don't know!!!

The arts there are just as amazing as any art gallery in the world to me. The unique building structure that pop out from other building in JCCC. It's arty design such as a long rectangle box with white coating and clear glass windows and doors. When I walked in it bright from the color white and next to this museum their is gift shop with unique things that people make and also a good place to eat "The Cafe Tempo"  serve with delicious food. This is jacket that I heard were made from dog tag by a guy who was in army during South Korean war, he thought to honor does people who serve in our country. I know that the dog tag have no mean of just random words. I really like this it's just to unique and strange at the same time.

I not know about the background of this art, but I know one of the JCCC drew this and I just like how he make it's so modern and royalty like.

The Nerman Museum is a great place to enjoy the beauty of art and what we can learn from it. It free to tour the place, so I hope many people would visit this wonderful place. 

I really enjoy the tour, but I didn't got to see a lots of other wonderful art, so next time I would like to go back and enjoy it again.

What am I going to do on Spring Break ?

I always enjoy spring break even though I have to work. I enjoy the spring break because it gives me time to organized the school work and enjoy time without worrying about school. I know a lots of people is going to Hawaii somewhere warm or to visit family. But for me, my family is visiting me. My 3 cousin Alexis, Chen, and Sebastian all 3 of them are coming over and to stay for few days. I'm excited because that I haven't seem them for a while. They not live far away only Kansas City, Missouri. I know it's not that far, but because of all the school time and work time; we just not have social life. I haven't seem them about a month now since our Chinese New Year. My family are important to me, so I loved to stay close by them. When they come over I hope to take them shopping, tour somewhere else, and eat. We all loved to eat. I know spring break is just few day of a break, it's not enough, but I am grateful that I got to spend time with my cousin here.

Mother Tongue By Amy Tan

When I read this journal in my English book, I think it something that can relate to me. Mother Tongue is a story that describe the mother speak a limited English throughout her life. When her mother speak English to the other people such as in department store, bank, restaurant and etc. Those people pretend not to understand her and think that she don't deserve a good service. She grew up as a replacement for her mother, she translate, compliant, and yelled for her mother. She was growing up to help her mother against the world of English. Because she grew up with her mother, as for her she think that her mother English is clear and understandable, but in a way Amy was a little ashamed of her mother English because it was not imperfect to her. Amy Tan said that in school she was never perfect with English, but always do so well in other subject.

In this story, I say that it relate to me because my life was more like that. I'm the oldest of two in the family so I have to translate everything for my parents such as letters, report, and other things in English. I was often pretend to be my mother so I can help her ask about some bill problem. I don't like to complaint about things, but I do often complaint about the bills that my mother receive. As I grew older it doesn't get easier, she been asking me to do everything. I not mind, but it just make me mad in someway that I have to be the mother of the house help with things that I don't want to do. I just want to be a regular teenager girl for once.
